Get swept away in the magical sights and sounds of the Caribbean with the rockin' rhythms of the Bay Roots Reggae Band, Symphony of Steel, the free-spirited fanciful moves of the Bahamiam Junkanoo, Drums of Polynesia, Mr. Nice Guy, scrumptious seafood, cooking demos by local celebrity chefs, art exhibits, the Lil Shrimp Kids Zone, boat rides, tours of the historical Deering Estate and more. Bring your family and friends to the Deering Seafood Festival and plan to spend the day!

Festival-goers will enjoy an outstanding array of South Florida's freshest fish and seafood that can be enjoyed while relaxing on the lush lawn of South Florida's biggest backyard on the bay. Selections include lobster, garlic blue crabs, fresh crawfish, conch, mountains of shrimp that are steamed, fried, or just peel and eat, grilled tuna and dolphin, fresh sushi, seafood paella AND SO MUCH MORE!

Under the big top tent, local celebrity chefs conduct cooking demonstrations, and share their unique recipes and culinary advice. Taste delectable samples of seafood dishes prepared by Sean Bernal (Oceanaire); Barb Freda, (Les Dames d’Escoffier); Cindy Hutson (Ortanique on the Mile); Philippe Pinon (Bizcaya, Ritz-Carlton); and Paula Da Silva (3030 Ocean, Ft. Lauderdale) who was recently seen on Hell’s Kitchen with Gordon Ramsay. Professionally attired culinary students from Robert Morgan Education Center’s School of Culinary Arts work along side the chefs and offer assistance in food preparation.

Take a tour of the historic homes or cruise Biscayne Bay aboard the Pelican Island Skipper departing throughout the day from the boat turning basin. Space is limited so reserve your space early at the festival. Stroll through the Artist Village featuring local artists and artisan crafters.
