Winter Camp

The 2009 Winter Camp at the Deering Estate will be held from December 28 - 31 from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm. Early drop-off (7:30am) and late pick-up (as late as 6:00pm) are available for an additional fee.

Children will learn about history, archeology, and nature by taking part in a series of hands on activities at the Deering Estate's Winter Camp in Miami.

Camp activities include:
- Winter Migration Day with a Bird Identification Hike.
- Animal Kingdom over view with a Insect hunt and Circle of Life projrect.
- Eco-Adventure day with a lesson on Invasive and Exotic plants. Bring your bikes for a afternoon bike ride through our natural hardwood hammocks trails.
- New years celebration around the world and make your own eco-freindly new years party favors!

The cost is $150 for a four-day session. There is a one-time $12 annual camp registration fee. Registration is required. For more information, please call the Deering Estate Ticket Office at 305-235-1668 ext. 233.
