La Rose des Vents, “Maps of Spain”
In historical times maps spread geographical interest and knowledge. This exhibit features a small collection of original, antique maps from Spain from the 1500s through the 1700s.

Fine Art Photography Exhibit, Carlos M. Cárdenes, “Miami River Blues”
Cuban-born Carlos M. Cárdenes shares his abstract vision of the historic Miami River. The Miami River originates out of the Everglades, traverses downtown, Miami and drains into feeders to Biscayne Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. This exhibit aims to raise consciousness about the river and its surroundings by turning the decay that abounds it into abstract art, and thus making the public aware of its hidden potential.

"Biscayne Bay – Then and Now"
Biscayne Bay, receiving National Park status in 1968, is within sight of downtown Miami, yet worlds away. The Park protects aquamarine waters, emerald islands, and fish-bejeweled coral reefs. It also holds within its treasure chest 10,000 years of human history, from pirates and shipwrecks to pineapple farmers and presidents. This exhibit chronicles the “then” and “Now” of its 40 year history incorporating new plans for the Biscayne – Everglades Greenway.

"Tropical Inspirations: The Paintings of Pauline Goldsmith"
Experience Pauline Goldsmith's love of South Florida's lush tropical vegetation through this solo watercolor exhibition. Pauline translates our rich flora's beauty to paper, portraying their complexity and profound exquisiteness.

Fine Art Photograghy Exhibit, Cesar Barroso, “Ecosphere”
OPENING: Wednesday, October 12th, 7 pm, Visitor Center
Artist In Residence, International Fine Art Photographer and conservationist, Cesar Barroso, will produce a three part exhibit, “Ecosphere,” chronicalling man”s interaction with the living resources of our planet. Cesar begins his photo documentary on the Estate with a series of abstract and literal images of our local flora and fauna.

Visual Art Exhibit featuring 2007-2008 Artists in Residence
OPENING: Thursday, Nov. 20, 2008, 7 pm, Stone House and Richmond Cottage
Artist in Residence Culmination Exhibit featuring Aramis Gutierrez, Pepe Mar, and Anne Blazejack. The Estate offers limited opportunities through our Artist in Residence Program for artists to interact with guests, create and display art in one of several artist studios located in our Artist Village. This exhibition features the graduates of our 2007-2008 programs.
